    Unmute only when required

Whenever you join a meeting, ensure to mute your microphone unless you’re speaking. This helps minimize the background noise and makes it easy to hear the speaker. Also, avoid disruptions by muting your microphone when you need to step away from the meeting.

To mute/unmute simply press the spacebar.

Use Virtual Backgrounds and steal the show!

Use the ‘Virtual Background’ feature to add a personal touch to your calls. You can upload your own image or choose from a selection of built-in backgrounds.

To enable this setting, visit the web portal of Zoom and then, Go to  Settings -> In Meeting (Advanced) -> Enable ‘Virtual Background’

Once enabled, you can click on the button next to your ‘Start/Stop Video’ and then select ‘Choose Virtual Background. Select the required background, filters, etc then start your video, and done!

    Raise your hand for Interruption

When you want to ask a question or make a comment during the meeting, use the ‘raise hand’ function. This notifies the host that you have something to say, and they can unmute you when it’s your turn to speak.

To do so, click on ‘Reactions’ > select ‘Raise Hand’
